Launching Wren
I'm launching something new. A side project for now, but let me know if it should be something more.
It's an AI writing collaborator for LinkedIn. Here's the bet: building products is getting easier every year. Earning trust is not.
AI is lowering the barrier to entry for everything. More founders, more companies, more content. Every market is about to get noisier. In that world, attention and trust become the scarce resource. The people building a real presence now will have an advantage that compounds quietly for years.
You know you should be posting. You don't, or you half ass it. You are building something. Posting is the last thing on your list.
And when you do try to post, the workflow is too slow. The tools you use are scattered. You end up using AI, but the drafts that come out could have been written by anyone. So you either don't post, you post slop, or you spend an hour editing what ChatGPT or Claude produced for you, just to see sub 500 impressions. The writing habit you were trying to build quickly vanishes. 😂 I've been there. A lot of people have.
When I left Catapult, I had nine years of lessons from building Perch and wanted to share them. Hopefully help someone do better than me, and create more surface area for collisions and new opportunities. So I set out to post more consistently.
Problem is, I don't love posting. Given the choice, I'd sit in a cave and build things all day. So I tried using AI to reduce the friction. The drafts were voiceless. The friction got worse, not better.
As a builder and optimizer, I did what felt natural. I built something. It was meant for me, but the deeper I got, the more I thought it could help a lot of people.
That's Wren.
Wren surfaces ideas from what you're already reading, watching, and discussing. Things you have actual opinions on. It helps you develop your take, draft in your voice, and get a real critique before you publish. It tracks what's actually working, better than LinkedIn's native analytics. Everything lives in one place. Nothing gets lost between tools.
One beta user cut her posting workflow from 10 hours across five tools to one hour on Monday morning. 3x post visibility. 2x engagement. Five confirmed qualified opportunities attributed directly to her posts, valued at just under $30K. 🤯 This makes me so happy.
The problem with AI slop isn't that a model helped write the words. It's when no person brought the thinking. Wren is built around that distinction.
I want more great ideas on LinkedIn. More young founders building in public. More people sharing what they're actually learning. That's the whole point. So Wren has a free plan. Bring your own API key and pay the model provider directly. That plan costs nothing. If you want more firepower, there are paid plans too.
Join before October 15th, share some honest feedback, and you'll get $10 off your monthly subscription, forever. Links in the comments.
