Back at MIT DeltaV, ten years later

Ten years ago, I went through MIT DeltaV as a founder.

This year, I had the pleasure of being a mentor and attending their Investor Day.

The room has changed. The quality of companies coming out of DeltaV now is remarkable, and I left genuinely excited about what the next generation of founders is building.

What struck me most was the theme running through the room. These companies are tackling the physical world and some of the thorniest problems. Rescue operations, drug delivery, metal manufacturing, physics foundation models, hemorrhage control, industrial automation, tariffs, cybersecurity, and healthcare. The ambition in that room was real.

These companies are choosing to build in Boston. MIT and DeltaV are helping lead the charge.

A huge congratulations to Bill, Anna, and the entire DeltaV team. What you've built over the last decade shows.

Here's what these entrepreneurs are building:

Gander Robotics — Autonomous underwater rescue vehicles. Man overboard situations are deadly. They're automating the rescue swimmer.

Alpaca Research — Next-gen memory technology to bring frontier AI to consumer devices.

Exo AI — An intelligence layer for commercial real estate deals. The biggest financial decisions in the world, finally getting smarter infrastructure.

Cerberus AI — Cybersecurity tools built specifically for AI agents. As agents proliferate, this problem only gets bigger.

Talys — AI applied to the hardest problems in the US health system, from affordability to financial stability.

Cortheon — Multi-wavelength 3D printing for metal foundries. Making parts that were previously impossible to manufacture.

Bizon Labs — Engineered drug-delivery vehicles that make therapeutics more effective and get them to patients faster.

Robox — A design engine for industrial automation. Making it better and faster to build the physical systems the world runs on.

PowerLab — AI-native customs brokerage that cuts importers' duty spend by optimizing around tariffs. Genuinely clever.

Neural Physics — AI that lets engineers design 1,000x faster. That number is not a typo.

Banzai — AI for property maintenance and repairs.

RBT Resources — A device that brings blood closer to the patient and delivers blood products faster in massive hemorrhage situations. Saves lives.

Pixology — An AI-native platform for the sports sponsorship economy. Replacing four weeks and eight tools with one.

If you're an investor, operator, or just someone who pays attention to where the next generation of technology is headed, go learn about these companies.

The talent coming out of MIT right now is serious. DeltaV is doing something special.

Demo Day is this week. If you want to see these teams in action, go.
